Master’s Office runs · Cape Town
A messenger brings back paper.
Tuesday and Thursday mornings at the Master of the High Court, Cape Town, for estate practices in the Helderberg, Stellenbosch, Paarl, the Boland and the Overberg. You stay at your desk. We stand in the queue.
01How a run works
The day before
15:00
Send the instruction on WhatsApp. We confirm within the hour with a matter number, then collect the pack and sign for it.
Run day
08:00
At Castle Street when the doors open, every Tuesday and Thursday, with your written authority on file.
The same day
16:00
A written report on every file, with a photo of the stamp. Originals back with you that afternoon in the Helderberg and Stellenbosch.
02What we carry
Reporting packs (J294, J243, J190, J192), original wills under seal, liquidation and distribution accounts, and answers to the office’s queries.
Letters of executorship (J238), letters of authority (J170), date-stamped copies and anything else the office releases to your firm.
A stuck file found, an answer from the estate controller and the next step in writing, followed up on the next two runs.
What we lodged, what we collected, who we spoke to and what happens next. Every file, every run, by 16:00.
You draft, we carry. Every pack is checked against the Master’s checklist before it leaves your office. Loper gives no legal advice and does no drafting or court work.

08Who runs it
Luke completed his articles and has handled Master’s Office files for his former firm, so he knows what belongs in a pack and what the office sends back. Loper is how he does that for estate practices across the Helderberg and the Boland, twice a week.
WhatsApp Luke by 15:00 the working day before. Reports by 16:00 on the run day.
